Travel company creates new jobs

| An independent tour operator has created a number of travel jobs after expanding the range of trips it offers to Australia.
Premier Holidays has added to its dedicated Australia sales team, claiming all the consultants have made a journey to the nation in recent times. The company's product manager for Australia and New Zealand, Clare Haynes, said bookings for room nights were up 35% for 2013. Premier Holidays will now look to bring its brochure out earlier to capitalise on the popularity of the destinations, she said. The Australia team is able to put together traditional trips to more popular Down Under destinations, while it can also offer travel to areas of the Northern Territory and Western Australia which are not as well-trodden by travellers. Haynes said: "Our experienced staff are always on hand to discuss an Australian itinerary with clients or agents and our direct relationship with both Qantas Airways and British Airways means we can secure the best possible flight prices."
