Carnival appoints new head of sales

Carnival appoints new head of sales

Carnival Cruise Lines UK has promoted Iain Baillie to the role of head of sales, replacing the outgoing Mark Pilkington who resigned in January.

Mr Baillie was previously the senior sales manager for Carnival UK's sales arm, Complete Cruise Solution, but his new position will see him based at the company's London offices.

The head of sales role, which Mr Baillie will begin on March 1, will see him report to Adolfo Perez, managing director of Carnival Cruise Lines UK.

The appointment will see Mr Baillie, who joined Complete Cruise Solution in 2002, head up a team in charge of company sales, distribution and trade strategies in Britain and Ireland.

He has previously worked in several travel jobs for Inspirations, Unijet and First Choice. Mr Perez said the new appointment brought a wealth of experience to the position.

He said: "Iain's proven track record of success and leadership skills will help achieve our goal of building greater awareness and demand for the Carnival Cruise Lines' brand in the UK and Ireland."
