Cruise industry appointment announced

A senior figure in the cruise industry with more than a decade of experience in such travel jobs  is moving to a new company, it has been announced.

Paul Beale, previously Seabourn Cruises head of sales, is to take up the same position at Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

Mr Beale will take up his new position from March 5 and will be working closely with Graham Sadler, the company's managing director for UK and Europe.

Mr Sadler said: "We are delighted to have Paul join the team and fill this crucial role. He has an outstanding track record of success and demonstrated great skill in managing growth coupled with financial discipline.

"With his experience and determination, I am confident Paul will make a significant contribution to continuing the development of Regent Seven Seas Cruises as the leading all-inclusive luxury cruise experience."

Mr Beale took up the position of head of sales at Seabourn four years ago. At Regent he will now manage the entire sales function, agency initiatives and all distribution in the UK.

He said: "I am absolutely thrilled to be joining another highly successful, ultra-luxury cruise brand and am looking forward to this new opportunity and utilising my experience to ensure Regent's sales strategies and objectives are achieved."
