Virgin Atlantic is to take on 500 cabin crew members this year in a travel recruitment drive.
The air travel opportunities were announced after the airline outlined plans to expand its network and fleet in 2012.
Successful applicants will be working on flights departing Gatwick and Heathrow bound for Cancun and Vancouver among other routes.
Other long-haul routes they will be involved with include Barbados, New York and Shanghai.
Corneel Koster, Virgin Atlantic's director of operations, safety and security, said this year was "exciting" for the airline as it was growing and investing.
Koster added: "We look forward to expanding our network and welcoming a new fleet of aircraft.
"The new roles have been created to support our new destinations of Cancun and Vancouver, a second rotation on our San Francisco route and also our new A330-300 aircraft of which we take delivery of seven later in the year."
